praise for the Kane saga

“Kingdom of Lies takes the standard heroes journey and elevates it to a nuanced story with truly loveable characters and just the right amount of twists and turns. The main character, Elijah, is an excellent blend of innocent, heroic and flawed.”

- Donna Jo Books

“I really enjoyed this book. The character development was well done and I really enjoyed the flashbacks Elijah experienced upon his return to the castle and he started to discover more about his true identity. The conclusion of the Epilogue was fantastic. It gives the reader anticipation for the next instalment and leaves you trying to guess how the plot could next unfold.”

If you’re looking for a well-written, classic YA read, you should check this one out! Highlight: I haven’t read a fantasy novel from only a male POV in a long time. That aspect was definitely refreshing!

- Jenni

This is a brilliant read! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. The world building is detailed and imaginative. This novel has strong, well developed characters and an interesting story line that keeps you turning the pages. Elijah wonders who are his friends and who are his enemies or are they both a little or lot of each.

Return of the Dragon is not only a great leap forward in this already smart fantasy series but it perfectly interweaves Elijah's complex past that's slowly unfolding around with a present that's as difficult. The introduction of the Dragon Elders and what they demand of Eli elevates the story to levels of brilliance with its harrowing, poignant struggle. Highly recommended.

Prequel novella

The Elite will be chosen, for a new king must rise.

For as long as possible, Hector Kane has put off the age-old Adelithian tradition of hosting the Tournament of the Elite and picking a potential wife. Content to play by his own rules, Hector would much rather have his friends, Merrick and Roderick, protect him—but unless he obeys his father's demands, he could risk losing the crown.

“A dash of magic appears in this story, but with hints that there is much more to come and a dire prophecy near the end that could be serious trouble.” - Author Jo Holloway
